DEMONSTRATIVE, INDEFINITE AND DISTRIBUTIVE PRONOUNS
Demonstrative pronouns are used for pointing out things. The words this, that, these and those are demonstrative pronouns.
Demonstrative pronouns can be either near or far in distance or time:
Near in time or distance: this, these Far in time or distance: that, those
! Do not get confused: This, that, etc. are (Demonstrative) Adjectives when they are used with nouns; as,
This book is mine.
That pen is yours.
These books are mine.
Those pens are yours.
What was that noise?
This horse is ...
